According to reliable sources, Nabila Rmili came under severe pressure, owing to the fact that she had been criticized for accepting the position of Minister of Health while serving as a mayor of Casablanca. As a result, she finally opted for the economic capital on Thursday, October 14th, 2021.
Nabila Rmili is no longer Minister of Health. The woman who has already become the first female mayor of Casablanca has officially decided to quit her job as Morocco’s Health Minister in order to devote time to her communal duties.
“In accordance with Article 47 of the Constitution, and on the proposal of the Head of Government, and King Mohammed VI, has therefore appointed Khalid Ait Taleb as Minister of Health and Social Protection”, according to a statement from the Royal Cabinet.
This resignation came shortly after voices had been raised in parliament, calling on Nabila Rmili to choose between her post of mayor and that of minister.
