The Moroccan Under 17 football selection qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2023 Under 17 African Cup of Nations (U17 AFCON), following its victory over its Nigerian counterpart (1-0), on Wednesday in Algeria, in group B’s second round.
The Moroccan team achieved its second victory in the group stage thanks to Nigeria’s own goal by Tochukwu Ogboji in the second minute of the match.
Previously on Sunday, April 30, the Moroccan selection defeated its South African counterpart (2-0), scored by Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal (73’) thanks to a penalty and Adam Hanin (83’).
