In 2023, Morocco maintained its reputation as a favorite destination for French tourists outside Europe.
Last year was a good one for Moroccan tourism in general, with the record arrival of 14.5 million tourists, a remarkable increase of 34% compared to 2022.
Foreign tourists arrivals recorded considerable growth of 41% in 2023 compared to 2022, representing 49% of overall arrivals. Among these arrivals, there are some 4.88 million French tourists who still consider Morocco their favorite tourist destination.
According to French newspaper Le Figaro, the most visited cities by French tourists and other travelers are Marrakech, Agadir and Tangier.
Moroccans Residing Abroad (MRAs) represent 51% of these arrivals, recording an increase of 27% compared to 2022.
