According to Sudan’s Ministry of Information, protesters rejecting ‘’the military coup’’ were shot dead by Military Forces in front of the Army’s General Command headquarters in Khartoum, causing two casualties.
The ministry confirmed on its Facebook page that military forces fired live bullets at protesters rejecting the military coup in front of the general Command of the army and injured a large number of people.
In addition, some sources reported that Sudanese army forces prevented thousands of demonstrators coming from Khartoum Bahri and Omdurman from reaching the heart of the capital Khartoum, while thousands demonstrated near the Presidential Palace in Khartoum.
The protests follow a military coup by the army at dawn on Monday, October 25th, 2021, against the civilian government, in addition to the arrest of Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok, as well as a number of ministers and officials.
This follows a crisis between the military and civilian components of the Sudanese authorities for several weeks during which there have been no solutions.
