For the first time in Morocco’s history, the Morocco National Football Team has finally reached the quarter -finals successfully in the ninth edition of the Futsal World Championship, held in Lithuania, after defeating Venezuela 3 -2 on September 22, 2021.
Soufian El Mesrar, born on 5 June 1990 in Kenitra, is a Moroccan Futsal Player who has scored three goals in minutes 2, 9, and 31, while both Jesus Viamonte and Milton Francia scored twice for Venezuela.
After reaching the final, the African Champion continued his career in his third participation with the Mondial after the 2012 and 2016 editions.
Further, unlike his two previous disappointing participations where he came up empty- handed with three defeats, Morocco maintained their unbeaten record in the current edition, achieving their second successive victory over Solomon Islands in the group stage, against a draw with Thailand and the European Champion Portugal in the first round as well.
