The Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, stressed on Monday the determination of his cabinet to live up to the ambition of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, who constantly seeks to provide conditions for a dignified life for citizens and to make Morocco a pioneer country both regionally and internationally.
A statement from the Department of the Head of Government, issued at the end of the first meeting of the Government Council held remotely, indicated that
Mr. Akhannouch expressed his pride and that of all members of the Executive of the High Royal Confidence and the High Guidelines contained in the Royal speech addressed to both Houses of Parliament.
‘’The Royal speech at the opening of the legislative session puts us all, clearly, in front of the external and internal challenges facing our homeland,” Mr. Akhannouch said during this meeting dedicated to the presentation of the outline of the Government Program.
The Head of Government clarified that the new process in which the government is engaged, after the High Royal confidence and the confidence of all Moroccans, requires treating the expectations and aspirations placed in this government in a serious way, while being aware of the decisive character of the current and future stage.
He noted that the exceptional context facing Morocco requires a strong commitment and mobilization at the internal and external levels. The latter addresses the question of strengthening the achievements and supporting the country’s primary national cause, and consolidating the aura and the place enjoyed by the Kingdom on a continental and international scale, thanks to the insightful vision of His Majesty the King.
At the local level, he continued, it is a question of getting out of the crisis imposed by the repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic, with what it involves in terms of necessary reforms of important and vital sectors, and of overcoming the problems and dysfunctions that have become inadmissible in Morocco today.
