The Saudi Council of Ministers approved, on August 8 in Jeddah, during a Cabinet session chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) between the presidencies of the Moroccan and Saudi public prosecution offices.
Aimed at strengthening judicial cooperation between the two parties, the memorandum of cooperation (MoC) was signed on February 13 in Rabat, during a visit to Morocco by Saudi Arabia’s Attorney General, Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mujib.
According to the King’s Public Prosecutor at the Court of Cassation, President of the Public Prosecution Office, El Hassan Daki, this memorandum seeks to promote the exchange of expertise, coordination, and cooperation between Morocco and Saudi Arabia, notably in fighting against cross-border crime, noting that the signing of this agreement testifies to the strong ties uniting the two Kingdoms.
Daki also emphasized that the memorandum will enable the two parties to launch joint training sessions in the field of justice and mobilize international efforts to combat organized crime.
