The President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Theodoros Rousopoulos, hailed on April 29 in Rabat, Morocco’s role in the development of stable relations between Africa and Europe, stressing that the reforms led by His Majesty King Mohammed VI make the Kingdom a model to follow in the region.
“The reforms undertaken in recent years by Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, are in line with the principles of the Council of Europe,” affirmed Rousopoulos during a press briefing following his meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita.
The official also praised the close relations uniting the Moroccan Parliament and the Council of Europe, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year.

To further consolidate these relations, Rousopoulos announced that members of Moroccan parliamentary delegations will now be able to submit proposed recommendations and resolutions with the co-signature of a member of the Assembly.
The delegations will also have to suggest amendments, with the co-signature of a member of the Assembly, request current affairs debatest submit declarations to the Assembly, and express their views and opinions, explained the PACE President.
