OCP Group, a world leader in soil and plant nutrition solutions, announced on April 2, the launch of its new subsidiary, OCP Nutricrops, will which focus on accelerating the group’s transition towards fully customized plant nutrition solutions.
According to a press release, this new subsidiary will boost the group’s pioneering phosphate-based plant nutrition production and distribution capacity to provide farmers with the tailor-made solutions they need to preserve soil health, sustainably increase agricultural yields, combat climate change, and protect the environment.
OCP Nutricrops’ advanced and flexible production system enables the manufacture of nutrients adapted to crops, climate, and soil.
The new subsidiary also offers training in precise nutrient techniques to guarantee that crops receive the right nutrients, at the right dosage, in the right place, and at the right time while ensuring cost efficiency.
OCP Nutricrops, which aims to provide fully customized and carbon-free products to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040, will take advantage of the group’s international partnerships with governments, researchers, and distributors to implement the systemic change necessary to transition to climate-friendly agriculture.
On this occasion, the CEO of OCP Nutricrops, Soufiyane El Kassi, stated that the subsidiary “will be at the forefront of a new direction for effective soil health and plant nutrition solutions”, which will help ensure global food security while combatting climate change and protecting the environment.
El Kassi also affirmed the commitment of OCP Nutricrops to collaborating with farmers and all stakeholders to accelerate the transition to fully customized and farmer-centered solutions.
