The two Moroccan citizens, kidnapped on April 1 by armed groups at the Niger-Burkina Faso borders, were released thanks to cooperation between the Moroccan security services and their Nigerien counterparts.
According to “La MAP”, the cooperation between the Moroccan and Nigerien security services, which lasted 4 weeks, contributed to tracking down the location of the two Moroccans, resulting in their safe release on Saturday, May 13.
The same source also stated that the two Moroccan nationals are currently receiving medical care to ensure that they are in good condition, before their repatriation to the Kingdom.
