Moroccans celebrate on April 15 the 66th anniversary of the recovery of Tarfaya, a crucial step in the process of achieving the Kingdom’s territorial integrity.
Colonialism had divided Morocco into several regions, which complicated the process of achieving Morocco’s independence, for which the Throne and the people made enormous sacrifices, which were crowned by the return of the late His Majesty Mohammed V and the Royal family to the homeland in November 1955.
Thanks to the insight of the Father of the Nation and the synergy between the people and the Throne, Morocco was able to recover Tarfaya in 1958, an event that constituted a decisive stage in the national fight for the consolidation of national unity.
Persevering on the same path, the Kingdom, under the enlightened leadership of the late His Majesty King Hassan II, was able to recover Sidi Ifni in 1969, and in 1975, the March Green took place, which resulted in the recovery of the Kingdom’s southern provinces, in addition to the recovery of Oued Eddahab, on August 14, 1979.
Under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco continues its mobilization to defend its territorial integrity, while reaffirming its firm commitment to putting an end to the artificial conflict over the Moroccan Sahara.
