Angolo affirmed its support for a compromising political solution for the resolution of the conflict over the Moroccan Sahara.
In a joint communiqué issued, on July 11 in Rabat, following the works of the third session of the Morocco-Angola Joint Cooperation Commission, co-chaired by Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and his Angolan counterpart, Téte Antonio, the Angolan minister stated that his country “supports the efforts of the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General and his Personal Envoy, Staffan de Mistura, to find a just, lasting, and mutually acceptable political solution based on compromise.”
Bourita and Antonio also reiterated their unwavering commitment to the principles of Law and international legality and respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of States.
