The Moroccan Court of Auditors and the Palestinian State Audit and Administrative Control Bureau (SAACB), signed, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the exchange of expertise and information between the two institutions.
The memorandum was signed by the First President of the Court of Auditors, Zineb El Adaoui, and the Director of the Palestinian Bureau, Iyad Tayyem.
Speaking on this occasion, El Adaoui emphasized that the Palestinian delegation’s visit is a step towards strengthening cooperation ties and a starting point for laying the foundations for a constructive partnership between the two institutions that are already linked by a partnership agreement signed in 2018.
“The Court of Auditors considers bilateral cooperation a common and sustainable framework for the exchange of internally-generated knowledge rather than an objective in itself,” added the First President of the Court of Auditors.
Praising the work of representatives of the Moroccan Court of Auditors and the Palestinian Bureau in international bodies and organizations, El Adaoui seized this opportunity to express her institution’s determination to boost existing cooperation agreements between the two parties and strengthen joint action within the framework of multiparty partnerships.
For his part, Tayyem praised, in a statement to the press, the signing of this memorandum in the service of Moroccan and Palestinian citizens, and the application of the general policy of the Palestinian State.
According to the Palestinian official, the signing of this memorandum reflects the strong relations uniting the two bodies and their willingness to advance in the exchange of information and development of joint actions.
In a similar context, Palestine’s Ambassador to Morocco, Jamal Choubki, noted that this memorandum, in addition to the signing of the 2018 cooperation agreement, is a testament to Morocco’s constant support for Palestine and the Palestinian cause.
