The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs confirmed that the first of Dhu al-Hijja of the year 1444 AH will correspond to Tuesday, June 20, while Eid Al-Adha will be celebrated on Thursday, June 29.
The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced in a statement that the crescent moon was not visible during the sighting held on Sunday, 29 Dhu al-Qi’dah, 1444 AH, corresponding to June 18, explaining that “the Ministry’s delegates in the Kingdom and the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) Units concerned with the observation confirmed the unobservance of the crescent moon.”
In this blessed month, may Allah grants His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, protector of the Nation and religion, with His blessing and favors, and renews such an occasion for the Sovereign in greatness and glory, for His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, and all the members of the Royal Family, as well as the Moroccan nation and the entire Islamic Ummah in progress, prosperity, peace, and tranquility.
