Following an invitation to the 80th edition of the “Royal Windsor Horse Show”, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist Him, instructed the representation of the Kingdom by a team composed of riders of the Royal Guard and the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) cavalry.
During this edition, which was held between May 11 and 14, Morocco achieved a remarkable entry with the unprecedented participation of a team of Moroccan riders in show jumping. The Moroccan riders distinguished themselves by reaching the final stages of the competition, occupying the third place in the team ranking.
The Moroccan delegation, which was led by Commander of the Royal Guard, Major General Abdelaziz Chatar, accompanied by Morocco’s Ambassador to the UK, Hakim Hajoui, was the guest of honor of the Duke of Edinburgh, President of the Royal Windsor Horse Show.
The Duke of Edinburgh extended his thanks to His Majesty King Mohammed VI for the participation of Morocco in this edition, which was rich in symbols, and closely followed the coronation of King Charles III.
For his part, Major General Abdelaziz Chatar highlighted the deep-rooted ties uniting the two illustrious Royal families, praising the exemplary organization of the event.
Established in 1943, the Royal Windsor Horse Show is a five-day equestrian event held annually in Windsor. It is the only horse show in the UK that hosts international competitions in dressage, show jumping, driving, and endurance riding.
