Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency organized, on August 27, a reception in honor of the Maqdessi children returning from Morocco following their participation in the 14th edition of the Agency’s summer camp Program.
The Agency stressed in a statement that this year’s successful edition, held under the theme “The Green March,” was crowned by a reception granted to the Palestinian children by Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa, per the High Directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of al-Quds Committee.
The 14th edition of the summer camp, organized by the Agency in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication, took place between August 10 and 26 under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist Him, and included several recreational, educational, and cultural activities, aimed at promoting the Kingdom’s history and civilization.
The Agency affirmed that it organized a rich and diversified program, including artistic and sporting competitions, which enabled the Palestinian children to discover the Kingdom’s history and geography, as well as its authenticity and cultural depth.
Participants in this year’s edition also had the opportunity to exchange visits with Moroccan children participating in summer camps organized during the same period at the Diplomatic Forest in Tangier.
The same source stated that this year’s program placed special attention on thematic workshops, notably in art, sport, languages, and the environment.
During their stay in Tangier, the Maqdessi children visited art and cultural sites in the old medina, the main tourist sites in M’diq, and Tangier’s Cap Spartel, where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean, before visiting the Caves of Hercules.
The Palestinian children also visited the historic sites of Tétouan before heading to the Gold Royal in M’diq where they took theoretical and practical courses in sports. In addition, Maqdessi children were also able to explore and admire the blue city of Chefchaouen.
The summer camps, which benefit annually 50 children from Al-Quds, and the “Summer Schools” program, organized in the Holy City for over 3,000 children, confirm the social and humanitarian vision of Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency, per the High Directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, as well as the Agency’s beneficial investment in Palestinian generations.
Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of Al-Quds Committee, this initiative by Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif is a testament to the constant support of His Majesty the King, may Allah assist Him, for the Holy City and its inhabitants.
This initiative consolidated the work of Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, which supports the Holy City of Al-Quds and its inhabitants through several projects that have a significant impact on Maqdessis, particularly women, children, and people in vulnerable situations.
Since its launch in 2008, Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency’s summer camp program, accounting for 14 editions this year, has welcomed a total of 700 children from various districts of Al-Quds, accompanied by 70 supervisors, who visited several Moroccan regions and experienced first hand Morocco’s solidarity with Palestinians.
