A Royal Navy High Seas Patroller provided assistance, on May 11, 64 km northwest of the port of Tan-Tan, to 59 would-be irregular migrants aboard an inflatable boat in degraded condition.
According to a press release from the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), the rescued individuals, including 13 women and 11 minors, all originating from sub-Saharan Africa, received the necessary aid before being entrusted to the Royal Gendarmerie for the standard administrative procedures.
