Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa chaired, on November 15 in Rabat, the Annual Diplomatic Charity Gala Dinner, organized by the Emirati Embassy and the Diplomatic Foundation.
Held under the High patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, this event, which brings together generous sponsors from the foreign diplomatic corps accredited to Morocco, has become an annual tradition organized at the initiative of the Diplomatic Foundation and foreign embassies in Rabat with the participation of diplomats, businessmen, and artists to support underprivileged populations.
The Diplomatic Charity Gala aims to raise funds to contribute to the social action momentum in Morocco through the funding of numerous projects, particularly in the fields of health, education, and training of young girls.
Speaking on this occasion, the Emirati Ambassador in Rabat, Al Asri Saeed Ahmed Al Dhaheri, expressed his heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, who kindly placed this event under His High Patronage, as well as to HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa for her constant commitment to social and charitable initiatives.
The Emirati ambassador praised the strong relations between the United Arab Emirates and Morocco, noting that the two countries maintain a strong friendship and share mutual interests, under the Wise and Far-sighted Leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The Emirati diplomat also expressed his pride in the unity and solidarity shown by the Moroccan people following Al-Haouz earthquake, highlighting the great and impressive efforts made by the Kingdom during this ordeal.
For his part, the President of the Diplomatic Foundation, Abdelati Habek, affirmed that this ongoing charitable action and active social commitment are based on an approach founded on promoting patriotism and solidarity values.
Praising HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa’s interest in charitable work, Habek stated that the profits from this Diplomatic Charity Gala will be allocated to associations working with the victims of Al-Haouz earthquake.
The president of the Diplomatic Foundation also noted that this event is in line with the outpouring of solidarity following the earthquake, adding that this exceptional mobilization has become a model to follow in terms of mutual aid.
During this event, the 2023 Diplomatic Gala Shield was presented to HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa, who posed for a souvenir photo with the organizing committee.
Upon her arrival, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa reviewed a detachment of the Royal Guard which paid her honors and was then greeted by Minister of Solidarity, Social Inclusion, and Family, Aawatif Hayar, Emirati Ambassador in Rabat, H.E. Al Asri Saeed Ahmed Al Dhaheri, Wali of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, Mohamed Yacoubi, President of the Regional Council, Rachid El Abdi, President of the Municipal Council of Rabat, Asmaa Rhlalou, President of the Rabat Prefectural Council, Abdelaziz Drouich, President of the Diplomatic Foundation, Abdelati Habek, and the members of the organizing committee.
