His Majesty King Mohammed VI offered, on April 15 in Rabat, a luncheon in honor of Belgian Prime Minister, Alexander De Croo, and the delegation accompanying him, chaired by Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch.
This luncheon saw the presence of several Belgian officials, including the Minister of the Interior, Institutional Reforms and Democratic Renewal, Annelies Verlinden, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Foreign Trade, and the Federal Cultural Institutions, Hadja Lahbib, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice and the North Sea, Paul Van Tigchelt and the State Secretary for Asylum and Migration, Nicole De Moor.
Also attending this luncheon were the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi Alami, the Speaker of the House of Councilors, Enaam Mayara, His Majesty the King’s Advisors, Taieb Fassi Fihri and Omar Azziman, the Minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita and the Minister of Justice, Abdellatif Ouahbi.
It should be recalled that Akhannouch and De Croo co-chaired, on April 15, the 3rd meeting of the Morocco-Belgium High Joint Partnership Commission, which resulted in the adoption of a Joint Declaration, as well as the signing of two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and a cooperation roadmap.
In the Joint Declaration, both parties expressed their shared desire to further strengthen bilateral relations with the aim of establishing a strategic partnership that lives up to the expectations of the two countries.
