The Moroccan Futsal selection received a warm welcome from the President of the Moroccan Royal Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaa, following their well-deserved third consecutive title of the Arab Futsal Cup, which reflects a historic victory that reinforces the status of the Atlas Lions in the world of futsal.
Following this victory, Lekjaa praised the players for their commitment, determination, and achievements under the guidance of coach Hicham Dguig, highlighting the role of Mohammed VI football complex in developing football players, thanks to its state-of-the-art infrastructure.
On this occasion, Lekjaa read out a congratulatory message from His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the Moroccan Futsal selection, who won the seventh edition of the Arab Futsal Cup on June 16 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
In His Majesty’s message, the Sovereign underlined that this victory confirms the prominence of Moroccan football, with its different types and categories, at several regional, continental, and international sporting events.
His Majesty the King also expressed his pride in this latest achievement, which is the fruit of the efforts of the national futsal selection and the technical and administrative staff of the Moroccan Royal Football Federation (FRMF), wishing the members of the national selection further success in their bid to win more titles and assuring them of His High Solicitude and benevolence.
For his part, national selection coach Hicham Dguig expressed his delight with Morocco’s third Arab Futsal Cup title, noting that the Moroccan players showed a high level of technique and concentration throughout the tournament.
Throughout this tournament, the Moroccan Futsal selection went undefeated for six matches and scored 32 goals. This victory at the 2023 Arab Futsal Cup reflects Morocco’s pre-eminent position in futsal.
