The Atlas Lionesses will go to the World Cup for the first time in their history. The Moroccans qualified for the women’s AFCON final by defeating Nigeria at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat tonight. After a 1-1, Morocco was able to take its ticket to the final by scoring 5 goals to 4 in penalties.
The Moroccan players dominated possession of the ball with penetrations into the opposing side through the left and right flanks. Lacking in efficiency, but with a dynamic game and an offensive construction.
Offensive launch
Back from the locker room, the Atlas Lionesses continued their offensive momentum despite rare attempts by the Nigerian team to reduce the pace of play in order to contain the Moroccan attacks.
The Atlas lionesses will face South Africa to discuss the African Cup.
