Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, held talks on October 9 in Rabat, with the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, Liesje Schreinemacher.
In a statement to the press following this meeting, Shreinemacher stressed that her visit to the Kingdom is part of efforts to strengthen friendship and cooperation relations between Morocco and the Netherlands, particularly in the economic field.
“Our visit to Morocco testifies to our excellent relations of friendship and cooperation”, affirmed the Dutch official, recalling that the two countries enjoy good economic relations and are working towards forging new partnerships.
After expressing her country’s condolences following the earthquake that recently struck the Kingdom, the Dutch official stated that she is leading a delegation of Dutch businessmen specialized in water management and agriculture on this visit, to help rebuild the regions affected by the earthquake.
The Dutch Minister also shed light on the large Moroccan community in the Netherlands (approximately 400,000), expressing her country’s commitment to contributing to Morocco’s efforts to rebuild and rehabilitate the areas affected by the earthquake.
