Moroccan Olympic champion Soufiane El Bakkali won the 3000 m steeplechase event, on May 19 in Marrakech, during Mohammed VI International Athletics Meeting, as part of the 2024 Wanda Diamond League.
Soufiane El Bakkali won the 3000m steeplechase event by covering the distance in 08min 09s 40/100, ahead of Ethiopian Wale Getnet, clocking 08min 09s 78/100, and Kenyan Serem Amos who finished third in 8m10s82/100.
This fourth stage of the Diamond League, placed under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, brought together athletes from all over the world, including Olympic and world champions.
