The Wali and National Coordinator of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), Mohamed Dardouri, highlighted, in New York, during the 67th session of the United Nations (UN) Commission on the Status of Women (CSW67) the efforts undertaken by Morocco in terms of human development.
During his talks with the delegations participating in this meeting, Dardouri stressed that the promotion of women’s and girls’ rights is at the heart of the objectives of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), further reviewing the projects and initiatives conducted within the framework of this project, aimed at promoting women’s status in several provinces of the Kingdom.
Dardouri, who is part of the Moroccan delegation to this meeting held under the theme Innovation and Technological Change and Education in the Digital Age for Achieving Gender Equality and the Empowerment of all Women and Girls, also highlighted women’s role and contribution in the development dynamics that the Kingdom is implementing in several fields.
The Moroccan delegation also includes the Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration and Family, Aawatif Hayar, and representatives of ministerial departments and civil society.
The 67th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW67) is marked by the participation of representatives of Member States, United Nations (UN) bodies, and international non-governmental organizations recognized by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
Over the span of two weeks, the discussions will focus on the challenges and opportunities for gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls in rural areas.
