Per the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, may Allah assist Him, Mohammed VI Foundation for African Ulemas, in collaboration with the competent Guinean authorities, will proceed to the official inauguration of Mohammed VI Mosque of Conakry, before the Friday prayer on Ramadan 18, 1445, corresponding to March 29, 2024.
According to a press release, the sermon will be delivered, during this prayer, by the representative of the Higher Council of Ulema, with the participation of eminent personalities from Morocco and Guinea.
On this occasion, the Moroccan embassy in Conakry, in collaboration with Mohammed VI Foundation for African Ulemas, will organize an official Iftar ceremony at Mohammed VI Mosque of Conakry, in honor of the official authorities and diplomatic representations accredited in Guinea.
The new Mohammed VI Mosque of Conakry, whose work was kicked off by His Majesty King Mohammed VI on February 24, 2017, was built according to authentic Moroccan architectural characteristics, with a capacity to welcome more than 3,000 people, over an area of one hectare.
This initiative aims to celebrate Prayers, teach the Holy Quran, and disseminate Wisdom, as part of the brotherly ties between Moroccans and Guineans, while also enabling Guinea to benefit from Morocco’s expertise in terms of religious management and the promotion of religious values such as tolerance, humanity and solidarity, in accordance with the Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of Mohammed VI Foundation for African Ulemas.
