A delegation from the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) conducted a visit to Mexico with the aim of boosting cooperation between the countries in trade and investment.
The General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), represented by National Council member, Asmaa Chaâbi, and President of the Integration and Diversity Commission of the Mexican State’s Business Coordinating Council (CCE), Blanca Pérez Villalobos, signed, on November 7 in Mexico City, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening bilateral and multilateral cooperation to improve market access and promote production capacity and business opportunities.
As part of this memorandum, the two parties are committed to informing businessmen in both Morocco and Mexico of economic opportunities and strengthening communication and dialogue channels to promote the investment dynamic.
The memorandum will also enable both parties to promote economic events of common interest on their respective platforms.
The signing of this agreement took place as part of a meeting organized in coordination with the Moroccan Embassy in Mexico under the theme “The Role of Businesswomen in the Economy”.
Speaking on the occasion, Chaâbi highlighted the pioneering role played by Moroccan women in a collective effort to develop the national economy and society in general.
The Moroccan official also noted that Moroccan women hold high office and play an active role in political decision-making.
The Mexican State Business Coordinating Council is the highest institution representing the private sector in this North American country.
