The 65th edition of the Brussels Holiday Fair kicked off on February 1, with Morocco as guest country of honor, represented by a large pavilion showcasing the richness and diversity of the Kingdom’s tourism assets.
Inaugurated by Morocco’s Ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg, Mohamed Ameur, in the presence of the Director responsible for Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg (BENELUX) at the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT), the Morocco Pavilion was designed in a modern and inspiring way, which highlights Morocco’s authenticity and openness to the world.
Speaking at an inaugural press conference, Ambassador Ameur highlighted the richness and exceptional diversity of the Moroccan tourist offer, noting that this offer expresses the Kingdom’s natural, cultural and culinary diversity.
Ameur also shed light on Moroccan hospitality, a key component of the Kingdom’s long history, as a platform for trade, referring in this regard to the stability and security enjoyed by Morocco under the Enlightened Leadership of HM King Mohammed VI.
It should be noted that Belgian tourist arrivals exceeded one million for the first time in 2023, making Belgium the third market in terms of the number of tourist arrivals, after France and Spain.
In 2024, seven airlines will connect the Belgian market to Morocco, linking 4 airports to 11 destinations, with an air capacity exceeding one million seats.
Underway until February 4, the third edition of the Brussels Holiday Fair will witness the presence of around 75,000 visitors, with the participation of more than 300 exhibitors and more than 65 destinations from around the world.
