A field hospital for the treatment of people infected with the new Coronavirus (Covid-19) was inaugurated on Thursday, October 14th in Laayoune.
Establishing this hospital, with a capacity of 128 beds, is part of tremendous efforts to address developments in the epidemiological situation nationally in general, and in the region of Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra in particular.
According to the regional director of Health ‘’Ali El Haouari’’, this sanitarium, which is located near the regional hospital Moulay Hassan Ben Mehdi , is equipped with ultra-modern medical and paramedical materials, including an oxygen generator, for a total cost of 32 million Dirhams.
He pointed out that the hospital comprises a total of 16 beds reserved for resuscitation, stressing that the equipment will enable both doctors and nurses to perform their mission in adequate conditions.
