As part of the humanitarian initiatives implemented within the framework of the 2024 African Lion military exercise, held in accordance with the High Instructions of HM King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), a field medical-surgical hospital was deployed in the province of Tata.
In a statement to Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP), Head doctor Colonel Khalid Fattouh indicated that this hospital offered between May 16 and 25, medical and surgical services covering several specialties including cardiology, ENT, pediatrics, internal medicine, gynecology, radiology, and ophthalmology, providing medical care for the benefit of over 7,600 patients.
It should be noted that around 7,000 elements of the armed forces from around twenty countries in addition to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) are taking part in these large-scale military maneuvers alongside the Royal Armed Forces and the United States Armed Forces
This twentieth edition testifies to the sustainability that characterizes the cooperation between the Royal Armed Forces and the United States Armed Forces, reflecting the historical and solid links uniting the two countries.
