A unit of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) in charge of coastal surveillance intercepted, on April 21, 52 Sub-Saharan Africans seeking irregular migration, when their canoe ran aground 170 km south of Dakhla.
According to a press release from the FAR General Staff, the individuals, who intended to reach the Canary Islands, received the necessary aid before being entrusted to the Royal Gendarmerie for the standard administrative procedures.
