Countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) commended, on March 3 in Riyadh, the reforms undertaken by Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
In this regard, the Council’s Secretary General, Jasem Albudaiwi, hailed the major reforms initiated by His Majesty the King in several sectors, stressing the importance of the strategic partnership uniting Morocco and the GCC.
In a similar context, the Secretary-General praised the African Atlantic initiative launched by His Majesty the King for the benefit of the Sahel countries, with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the states of the Sahel and those of the Atlantic.
For his part, the Qatari Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, and Chairman of the Council’s current session, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, congratulated the Kingdom for the joint organization of the 2030 FIFA World Cup alongside Spain and Portugal, reaffirming the willingness of the GCC countries to provide the necessary support to Morocco and to contribute to the implementation of projects initiated by the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
It should be noted that the joint ministerial meeting between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf is part of the solid relations and renewed strategic partnership uniting Morocco and the GCC countries, the foundations of which were laid by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist Him, and his brothers the leaders of the GCC member countries, since the Morocco-GCC Summit which took place in Riyadh on April 20, 2016.
