The High Commission for Planning (HCP) published an information note detailing the evolution of the opinions of Moroccan households on several topics.
In 2023, a majority of 54.1% of households noted an improvement in the quality of administrative services. However, 17.8% reported a deterioration, resulting in a positive balance of 36.3 points. Although slightly lower than the previous year which stood at 36.9 points, this balance generally indicates a positive perception of the quality of administrative services.
In contrast, the perception of improvement in environmental protection is less positive. Only 49.1% of households noted an improvement, while 16.3% witnessed a degradation. The balance relating to this indicator fell to 32.8 points in 2023 compared to 34.4 points in the previous year.
In terms of human rights, 37% of households believe that there has been an improvement, while 17.3% think the opposite. The balance relating to this indicator increased to 19.7 points in 2023, compared to 17.1 points in 2022, reflecting an increased feeling of improvement.
However, opinions relating to the quality of education remain worrying. In 2023, 45% of households noted a deterioration, compared to 28.1% who perceived an improvement. The balance relating to this indicator recorded a decrease, moving from minus 13 points in 2022 to minus 16.9 points in 2023.
Another aspect that is also still perceived negatively by Moroccan households is the quality of health services, with 58.2% of households reporting a deterioration, while 14.2% noted an improvement. The balance relating to this indicator rose to -44 points, compared to -48.2 points in the previous year.
