Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic became the first player in history to win the ATP Finals for the seventh time, following his victory over Italian Jannik Sinner in two sets (6-3; 6-3) on November 19 in Turin, Italy.
Djokovic previously shared the record for most victories in the event with Swiss Roger Federer, who was crowned champion six times.
This win is considered Djokovic’s 71st “Big Title”, which consists of Olympic singles gold medals, trophies at the Nitto ATP Finals and ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, and Grand Slam championships.
Djokovic also holds the single record in terms of Grand Slam titles (24), Nitto ATP Finals (7), and ATP Masters 1000s (40).
The world number one currently boasts a total of 98 Tour titles, including seven titles just this season alone.
