His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist Him, sent a written message to Emirati President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported that His Majesty’s message highlighted the bonds of brotherhood uniting Morocco and the UAE and ways to strengthen and develop these bonds to meet the aspirations of the two countries and brotherly peoples for further progress and development.
The message was delivered to HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during an audience granted on August 7 in Abu Dhabi to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, who conveyed to His Highness the greetings of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His Majesty’s wishes for health and happiness, and more progress and prosperity to the Emirati people.
For his part, the President of the UAE extended His greetings to His Majesty the King through the Moroccan minister of Foreign Affairs, wishing the Kingdom and the Moroccan people further progress and prosperity.
During the audience, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Minister Bourita discussed ways of strengthening bilateral cooperation and joint action in several vital fields, including sports and youth, and tools for expanding cooperation to achieve sustainable development and economic prosperity in the two brotherly countries.
The meeting was also an opportunity to discuss the UAE’s preparations to host the 28th UN Conference of the Parties on Climate Change (COP 28).
The audience was attended by Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyane, and the Minister of State, Khalifa Shaheen Almarar, on the Emirati side, and by the Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget, Fouzi Lekjaa, on the Moroccan side.
