Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, held talks, on August 2, with the British Minister of State for the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, and United Nations (UN), Lord Tariq Ahmad of Wimbledon, on the latest developments in the region.
Describing the telephone conversation as “constructive,” Lord Ahmad wrote, in a tweet, that the talks focused on “the concerning situation in Israel and the OPTs, Niger, and Libya, in addition to broader bilateral & regional issues.”
On this occasion, Lord Tariq Ahmad of Wimbledon conveyed his “warm wishes to His Majesty King Mohammed VI” on the occasion of Throne Day.
Thanks to their shared political will to make a century-old partnership lasting, Morocco and the UK are constantly consolidating their relations.
In May, the two Kingdoms held the 4th session of the Morocco-UK Strategic Dialogue in Rabat, which was an opportunity for the UK to emphasize that this eight-century-old partnership can only grow stronger, especially as it extends to several major sectors such as education, trade, and climate change.
