Palestinian Prime Minister, Mohammad Shtayyeh, emphasized, on July 30, in Ramallah, that the speech delivered by His Majesty King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the Sovereign’s accession to the throne is a testament to the “distinguished” and “historically rooted” relations between the Morocco and Palestine.
In a speech at a reception hosted by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Palestine, Shtayyeh praised His Majesty the King’s reaffirmed support in His Speech for the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of Palestinians to establish their independent state with East Al-Quds as its capital.
The Palestinian Prime Minister also added that Morocco’s position reflects the strong solidarity between Moroccans and Palestinians, their commitment to defending the causes of the Arab Ummah, and the distinguished relationship firmly rooted in history that links Palestine and Morocco.
The Palestinian official also noted that Morocco is an important partner in supporting Palestinians in Al-Quds and providing them with assistance to overcome the challenges they face, which reflects Morocco’s full solidarity with the Holy City and its support for the Maqdessis.
On behalf of the Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, and the Palestinian Council of Ministers, Shtayyeh congratulated Moroccans on the 24th anniversary of Throne, wishing His Majesty the King health and well-being and Moroccans further progress and prosperity.
The reception was attended by several Palestinian ministers and officials, diplomats accredited to Palestine, members of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Executive Committee and the Fatah Movement Central Committee, as well as Muslim and Christian religious figures.
His Majesty King Mohammed VI reiterated on July 29, in His Speech on the occasion of Throne Day, Morocco’s unwavering position in support of the just Palestinian Cause and the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people concerning the establishment of an independent state with East Al-Quds as its capital, and ultimately achieving security and stability in the region.
