‘’ Concerning the epidemiological situation in Morocco, 1,082 new covid-19 cases have been recorded in the past 24 Hours, increasing the total number of confirmed cases to 931,973 since the first case was announced on March 2, 2020’’, Morocco’s Ministry of Health reported.
Besides, the ministry also recorded 1,774 recoveries, bringing the total number of recovered infections to 904,552, accounting for 97, 06 percent of Morocco’s total recovery rate. Equally alarming, 23 more people related to covid-19 died from this vicious epidemic, which raised the death toll to 14,248. That is, Morocco has recently a 1.5 percent fatality rate.
The current highest recorded deaths encompass 8 in the Rabat- Sale- Kenitra region, followed by the Casablanca-Settat region that recorded 5 deaths, 2 in Tangier-Titouan- Al Hoceima region, 3 in both Marrakesh and Safi, 3 in both Fez and Meknes, 1 in Souss-Mass, and 1 in Draa-Tafilalet.
Further, the ministry highlighted, in the Daily Bulletin of the results of (Covid-19), that the number of people who received the first dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 reached 22 463 549 people, while the number of those who received a second dose Covid-19 vaccination reached 18 923 931 people.
