Chairman of the European Union (EU) Policy Committee in the Italian Senate and former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Giulio Terzi di Sant’Agata, praised, on July 5 in Rome, the Wise Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in the fight against radicalization and His Majesty’s commitment to promoting democratic values and freedom.
During a press briefing following his meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, di Sant’Agata stated that such issues demand full attention at both the bilateral and multilateral levels.
The Italian senator stated that he had discussed with Bourita bilateral relations between Morocco and Italy, which are developing “very positively in all fields,” particularly in political exchanges, security issues, and the challenges of economy and climate, recalling the two countries “very active” presence in multilateral organizations and Morocco’s relations with the European Union (EU).
In a similar context, di Sant’Agata commended the “strategic, special, and advanced” partnership linking Morocco and Italy, noting that the two countries are equally concerned about “the proliferation of small groups and entities that are spreading in Africa” that threaten the continent’s stability and security.
Di Sant’Agata also highlighted “significant convergences” between Morocco’s “humane, egalitarian, and sustainable vision” of development and the Italian government.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, conducted a working visit to Italy on Wednesday, July 5, at the invitation of his Italian counterpart, Antonio Tajani.
This visit is Bourita’s first to Italy following Tajani’s appointment, in October 2022, as Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
