The General Administrator of Wallonia-Brussels International (WBI), Pascale Delcomminette, stated Monday in Rabat that Morocco “occupies an important place among the countries that Wallonia-Brussels prioritizes,” which is confirmed by the diversity of areas of cooperation between the two parties.
Intervening at the inauguration of the works of the 8th session of the Permanent Joint Commission (PJC) between the Moroccan Government and the governments of the Walloon Region and the French Community Wallonia-Brussels, Delcomminette noted that “Morocco is among high-priority countries for which the financial resources mobilized are the most important.”
Delcomminette stressed that the 8th session will establish a strong strategic partnership between the two parties, enabling them to achieve their goals in line with common values.
“Despite economic and health crises, Wallonia, the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, and the French-speaking Brussels government are committed to strengthening our partnership,” emphasized WBI General Administrator.
The General Administrator of the Wallonia-Brussels region noted that the bilateral partnership program “will govern relations for the upcoming five years” and will focus on supporting the strategic reforms of Morocco’s new development model.
Delcomminette concluded that within the same framework, cooperation between public administrations will be strengthened in addition to supporting civil society, cultural, academic, and economic actors.
Co-chaired by the Director of Cooperation and Cultural Action at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nadia El Hnot, and the General Administrator of Wallonia-Brussels International (WBI), Pascale Delcomminette, the Permanent Joint Commission (PJC) held its last edition in Brussels in 2017.
