Cape Verdean Prime Minister, José Ulisses Correia e Silva, reiterated, on Wednesday in Rabat, his country’s support for the Moroccan Autonomy Plan for the settlement of the Moroccan Sahara issue.
In a statement to the press following his meeting with the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, Correia e Silva reaffirmed Cape Verde’s support for the territorial integrity of Morocco, recalling on this occasion the opening of Cape Verde’s consulate in Dakhla in August 2022.
“These initiatives reflect our commitment to developing friendly and mutually beneficial relations with Morocco, particularly in terms of cooperation and attraction of investment and tourism,” said Correia e Silva.
Highlighting a “new era” of relations between Morocco and Cape Verde, the Cape Verdean official stressed his country’s willingness to strengthen political, diplomatic, and economic relations with the Moroccan Kingdom.
