Argentinian football legend Lionel Messi won, Monday, May 8, the Laureus World Sports Award for Sportsman of the Year 2022 thanks to his performance with the Argentinian national team, winner of the 2022 World Cup held in Qatar.
Messi also accepted the “Team of the Year Award” on behalf of Argentina’s national football selection, who won the World Cup at the expense of France.
