His Imperial Majesty Emperor Naruhito of Japan received Monday at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi Alami, who is leading a parliamentary delegation on a working visit to Japan.
During this meeting, Talbi Alami expressed his appreciation for Japan’s constant support to Morocco, affirming the strong, solid, and deeply rooted relations that unite the two countries, as reported by a statement from the House of Representatives.
Talbi Alami emphasized that the Kingdom of Morocco, under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed 6th, aims to diversify its partners and exchange expertise to serve humanity, consolidate peace and security in the world, and support development in several aspects, stressing the importance of coordination, joint parliamentary action, and the exchange of visits and expertise.
Talbi Alami also noted that his visit to Japan aims to support the efforts of communication and constant dialogue between the Moroccan parliament and its Japanese counterpart in order to strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
For his part, the Emperor of Japan recalled his visit to Morocco in 1991, when he was Crown Prince, alongside his father Emperor Akihito, recalling his memories in Rabat, Casablanca, Marrakech, and Fez, further praising the efforts of His Majesty King Mohammed 6th in facing climate change and promoting peace and security.
Talbi Alami arrived on Sunday in Tokyo, for a four-day working visit at the invitation of the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan, Hiroyuki Hosoda.
The Moroccan delegation taking part in this visit includes Deputy of the National Rally of Independents parliamentary group, Mohamed Ghayate, Deputy of the Authenticity and Modernity Party parliamentary group, Mohamed Touizi, Deputy of the Istiqlal Party parliamentary group, Nouredine Moudian, and Lahoucine Azougagh from the same party, as well as Deputy of the Socialist Union parliamentary group, Abderrahim Chahid, and Deputy of the Constitutional Union parliamentary group, Chaoui Belassel.
