The 12th edition of the Atlantic Dialogues, which is organized by the Policy Center for the New South (PCNS) under the High patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed Vl, kicked off on December 14, in Marrakech.
Held under the theme “A More Assertive Atlantic: Its Meaning for the World”, this edition brings together more than 400 guests from 80 different nationalities from the Atlantic basin, in line with the Royal orientations and directives on Atlantic Africa contained in the speech of His Majesty the King, may Allah assist Him, on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the Green March.
According to a press release, the choice of the theme aims to “reflect the growing importance of the Atlantic area in the current global context”, with an emphasis on the promotion of Atlantic cooperation, which is considered a key element for economic and social development, particularly for the countries of the South Atlantic.
Launched in 2012, the Atlantic Dialogues conference aims to create an environment for facilitating concrete discussions through a mix of interactive plenary panels, smaller breakout sessions, and keynote addresses that lead to actionable outcomes and solutions to cross-regional and cross-sectoral issues
